Theon Design, an Oxfordshire-based Porsche specialist, has unveiled its latest bespoke 911 (964) commission, ITA001. This fully restored and enhanced machine, built to precise specification for an Italian customer, features a lightweight carbon body, semi-active suspension, and a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, producing 400bhp at 7500rpm.

ITA001 is the perfect example of Theon Design’s OEM-grade design and engineering expertise, blended with cutting-edge technology and manufacturing techniques. This model is an excellent showcase of the brand’s commitment to preserving the unique air-cooled Porsche feel, ensuring the ultimate Porsche 911 driving experience.

The body of the car is made entirely of carbon, with each panel digitized and modeled in 3D design software to ensure a perfect fit. The aerospace grade wiring loom is lighter, and modern dual air-conditioning compressors and an all-new electric-power steering pump are placed low down for optimized weight distribution.

The powerful motor features independent throttle bodies, developed in partnership with British specialists Jenvey, and breathes through a switchable, fully ceramic coated exhaust, sending power to the rear wheels via an original Porsche 993 RS six-speed gearbox.

ITA001’s handling and dynamics are impressive, with a switchable, five-stage TracTive Active Controlled Electronics (ACE) damping system, calibrated over countless test miles to perform flawlessly in a wide range of driving environments.

The exterior is finished in the classic Porsche color of Schwartz Black, offset by understated grey ‘Ghost’ stripes, while the interior is handcrafted with supportive Recaro ‘touring’ seats trimmed in soft tobacco Bridle leather. ITA001 is also fitted with custom rear touring seats and a Focal six-speaker stereo integrated under the front passenger seat.

Prices for Theon Design commissions start at £380,000, and each car is a totally unique collaboration with the customer and takes 18 months to build. Price excludes donor car, shipping, and local taxes.
