Gordon Murray Automotive is set to unveil its latest creation, the T.33 Spider, which is being billed as the world’s most engaging V12-powered open supercar. The global online reveal will take place on Tuesday 04 April at 17:00 BST and can be viewed on the company’s website, www.gordonmurrayautomotive.com.

The T.33 Spider was designed and engineered to deliver an exceptional driving experience, with a unique open cockpit and the Cosworth GMA.2 V12 engine located behind the driver. Professor Gordon Murray CBE, Executive Chairman of the Gordon Murray Group, said: “From the outset of the T.33 programme, I always intended there to be a Spider – in fact, I sketched the Spider before the coupe to ensure the proportions worked. And from that first sketch, I knew, with its open cockpit and the incredible Cosworth GMA.2 V12 engine right behind you, the T.33 Spider would deliver a truly involving driving experience that’s quite unlike anything else.”

The T.33 Spider is the latest addition to the Gordon Murray Automotive stable, which already includes the T.50 and T.50s, two of the most driver-centric supercars ever created. The T.33 is described as the ultimate two-seater V12 coupe supercar, with EU and Federal homologation, passive boundary layer control aerodynamics, and a 3.9-litre mid-mounted Cosworth GMA.2 V12 engine producing 617 PS and capable of 11,100 rpm. The car has a six-speed manual or six-speed paddle-shift gearbox, and a dry weight of 1,090 kg. Only 100 units of the T.33 will be produced, adding to the exclusivity of the model.
