A rare and complete right-hand drive 1960 Facel Vega HK500, which has been locked away in a Welsh garage for almost 50 years, is set to go under the hammer at H&H Classics’ classic car auction on April 26th in Buxton. The car is one of only 98 UK supplied models and is being offered at “no reserve”. The HK500 was designed to compete with other famous models of the era, such as the Ferrari 250 GTE, Maserati 3500GT and Aston Martin DB4, and was known for its speed and power. Reviving ‘The Slug’: National Motor Museum Launches Restoration Campaign for Iconic Land Speed Record Car
The National Motor Museum has launched a restoration campaign for the iconic land speed record car, the Sunbeam 1000hp. Partnering with Brookspeed Automotive, the campaign aims to raise £300k to restore the colossal V12 aero engines and take the car back to Daytona Beach for the 100th anniversary of the record-breaking run in 2027.
